Dwight Anderson
Dwight currently leads the bioconversion technology area for Catchlight Energy, a joint venture between Chevron and Weyerhaeuser focused on producing liquid transportation fuels from forest-based biomass. Dwight joined Weyerhaeuser in 1988 and has held management roles in the Technology, Containerboard Packaging, and Manufacturing Services divisions. His most recent role prior to joining Catchlight Energy was as R&D manager for the Cellulose Materials unit of Weyerhaeuser. This work applied science to develop and commercialize new cellulose-based products. He has led process engineering and manufacturing improvements within Weyerhaeuser as well, including developing the technical/financial justifications for three successful $20 million capital projects. He has also chaired the Institute of Paper Science and Technology’s Papermaking consortium. Dwight graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a BS in Physics, from Washington State University with an MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering, and from the University of Washington with an Executive MBA.
